Rene's presentation to my Professional Procedures & Portfolio Development class was well received by the students. I was equaly impressed with Rene's professionalism and ability to manage the audience. He was able to turn potentially disruptive comments from the audience into positives that reinforced his point and opened the eyes of the students. I was particularly pleased with the fact that Rene's opinion as a former HR Specialist were in sync with my own and that the students were able to hear the same message from someone other than me. I highly recommend Rene as a presenter. His message is valuable to those looking for direction in order to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Until mankind can extend the circle of his compassion to include all living things, he will never, himself, know peace. ~Albert Schweitzer~
Disconnect from the noise with a walk in nature. Time to strap on my hiking boots and hear the sound of the leaves as I walk the trails at Cedar Ridge Preserve. ~RG~
Rene Guerra-RTG Coaching,LLC Good time on the trails and reenergizing my soul. The gift of nature is awesome!

I'm curious. What do you see or think about when you look at this picture? I took this picture while hiking in Sedona Arizona and noticed this dead tree and how I felt it added life to the picture despite being bare.
“Every now and then one paints a picture that seems to have opened a door and serves as a stepping stone to other things.”
― Pablo Picasso
Feel free to post your comments or share the post if you care. The pic has a calming affect on me to perhaps slow down and enjoy life more. Why do we seem to rush everything? Have a great week! ~RG~
Jon Landes Very nice pic, my friend. I have one similar I need to share I took in Moab, UT back in June this year.. These trees show life's journey and the twists & turns one experiences over time! Or at least that's what I see..

Grove Ayers I think all the elements in this shot speak to the slow deliberative process that nature uses. Those sandstone formations in the center took thousands of years of wind and water to get to that stage of beauty. The tree in the foreground weathered scores of years of sometimes harsh conditions...and it is more beautiful to us precisely because of those experiences. Things Take Time.

Rene Guerra-RTG Coaching,LLC There are many interpretations that can be found about the Tree of Life. Thought I'd share this since it talks about being connected with one another. Reminds me of the movie Avatar. A Tree of Life in various religious interpretations, within myths, and as a mystical concept represents the interconnectedness of all life on our beautiful planet. The Tree of Life connects all forms of creation. The Tree of Life is considered to be the symbol of 'Creator'. #Love #Wisdom

Stunning bike ride by Danny MacAskill in the Isle of Skye in Scotland. A guy truly living his passion and creating incredible videos using his talents on a bike. I am in awe of the breathtaking views where he rode his bike for the first time. #TheRidge
What is your passion and how will you use it to serve others? Do you love cooking, hiking, traveling, writing, blogging & connecting with people while helping them through challenges? There are so many things to choose from. What makes your heart smile when you are involved in it?
Whatever it is for you….just remember this. Never give up ~ Never give in ~Never stop fighting to pursue your passion~

How often have you made this statement? I will change when_________. (fill in the blank) or now that this has happened to me AGAIN, I'm really going to make this change TOMORROW. Yes….for sure I am going too…..just watch me. You may tell yourself or someone you know.
I've made these statements and still do but the key is to finally make the commitment to follow through not only if another person is involved but FOR YOU. It all starts with You if you're willing to take a chance. It could be fear holding you back or the resistance to change due to being defensive to feedback.
Are your excuses holding you back? Set a time & date to make a change in your life. It will make a difference. ~RG~ #change #nomoreexcusesSeptember 26, 2014 at 6:40 pm
To BE KIND is more important than to be right. Many times, what people need is NOT a brilliant mind that speaks but a SPECIAL HEART that Listens.
A friend (Dawnery) rode tandem with me this morning and when we stopped for a brief moment at Starbucks for coffee and hot chocolate, a man walked up to us and began talking about bike riding in his youth and how he enjoyed the roads of Waxahachie and beyond.
We talked about several topics and then he shared a story of job challenges that he and his wife had gone through and how it had impacted their lives. It was a story that many of us have had to deal from time to time.
When this guy left, I noticed a young guy waiting to talk to us as well. He mentioned that he had a disabled son and how a tandem bike just might be the answer for an activity for his son to a part of. He took a picture of our bike. He was inspired at the thought of how tandem riding could impact his son's life. He was traveling from Arkansas to Austin for a meeting that was related to his son's care.
I find it amazing how a tandem bike started these conversations. Interesting when we take the time to LISTEN with our HEARTS, the learnings and connections we can walk away with. Have an amazing weekend! ~RG~

Time is precious but yet we can waste the day thinking….I don't have time for _________. If only I had taken the time and so on. No one is immune to saying these four words. I don't have time.
I lost a friend in the 1980's who was afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy and was in a wheelchair. I would think I did not have time to visit him at his home which was six blocks away from mine.
Chris drove his wheelchair to my home many times to visit me during our friendship. We had not seen each other in awhile. When I heard he had passed, I said to myself…I wish I had made the time. In memory of my dear friend Chris Pinson.
Make it a priority to reach out to someone you care about….for time is precious. ~RG~ #timemanagement

Good day! Even the smallest of creatures can use some kindness. Compassion & kindness energy is contagious when your heart is smiling with love and joy. Take the time this week to share your heart with someone.

Sometimes the road in our lives may look and feel like this picture. An endless amount of challenges coming at us from all directions. It's just life at times.
Things do and will get better despite how it may be right now. Stay strong & steady as you climb each hill. It will make you stronger and wiser each time you overcome every hill challenge. Have an amazing weekend! ~RG~

"Don't make excuses - make good."
Make a mental note of how many times you blame someone/something this week. Reflect on each situation and ask yourself. What could I have done differently?
Have a awesome day! ~RG~September 11, 2014 at 4:05 pm

"Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children." --Ancient Indian Proverb
I recently had the privilege of caring for an injured female butterfly for 16 days. I took her out each day to feed and put her on dill plants in our backyard to lay her precious eggs for her species to survive just a little bit longer. I have deep gratitude for the days spent with her and how connecting with nature is just an awesome experience.
I have always been fascinated and interested in the indian culture and how they appreciated even the smallest creatures that we come into contact daily. I admire those that take the time out of their lives to care for not only animals but our fellow human beings. These are all true examples of giving and caring.
Have a great week! ~RG~
