Rene's presentation to my Professional Procedures & Portfolio Development class was well received by the students. I was equaly impressed with Rene's professionalism and ability to manage the audience. He was able to turn potentially disruptive comments from the audience into positives that reinforced his point and opened the eyes of the students. I was particularly pleased with the fact that Rene's opinion as a former HR Specialist were in sync with my own and that the students were able to hear the same message from someone other than me. I highly recommend Rene as a presenter. His message is valuable to those looking for direction in order to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Thanksgiving is a time for family gatherings (for those that celebrate this American holiday) and expressing gratitude for the many things in our lives. On July 28th, 2010 I began a daily gratitude journal. Each day I wrote 5 to 10 things I was grateful for. Looking back over 4 years of gratitude journaling was a good reminder of how much I have to be thankful for.
Try gratitude journaling. It will change your outlook on life if/when you go through challenges. Happy Thanksgiving and have a great rest of the week! ~RG~

Yep….it's time to get on the bike over the weekend. This picture reminds me of a road that I enjoy riding due to the huge Oak trees towering over. Gorgeous area! Have an amazing weekend and get out and enjoy the days ahead. I will. ~RG~
Rene Guerra-RTG Coaching,LLC Beautiful Sunday morning to ride bikes. Jon, you remember the Lillian route that we used to ride quite often back in the day. I still manage to take a few people on that gorgeous tree covered road.

Constantly focusing on the negative lowers your energy level. See and observe the good in each day…..trust me….it is there. We become blind to the good things in life when our minds are focused on worry. Make it a great Wednesday! ~RG~November 17, 2014 at 3:15 pm
“An acquaintance merely enjoys your company, a fair-weather companion flatters when all is well, a true friend has your best interests at heart and the pluck to tell you what you need to hear.”
~E.A. Bucchianeri, Brushstrokes of a Gadfly~
Tis the season of giving and caring. Ask for what you what in a relationship. It is best not to create resentment by making assumptions that they know your needs. Two way communication is the key. Have a great week! ~RG~November 14, 2014 at 7:28 pm
Everyone visits the complaints departments from time to time. An occasional visit is okay, but a person should not spend most of his/her life there. ~Robert Holden~
No one is immune to complaining about something….not me anyway. The key to not staying stuck in the cycle is to change the way you look at things. There are many hidden lessons to be discovered in the challenges you deal with. Take a step back and seek a new path or idea to overcome the situation. Awareness is key in realizing you are still standing in the complaint line.November 14, 2014 at 5:48 pm
Don't allow the weather to keep you from exercising. Good time had training with my little buddy Izzy and friend Dawnery this morning while working on our trainers climbing Mt Lemmon in Tucson AZ. Our Indoor cycling video was tough but it will pay off. What activity do you have planned for the weekend? Whatever it is….make it an awesome weekend! ~RG~
Izzy has it made….. :-)

“It’s the first machine (bike) we master as children and the one we abandon when the seductions of the automobile take over.” ~Colman Mc Cartly~
What activity have you abandoned? It is never too late to get back into what you love to do. The scenery that I see and enjoy while on the bike is simply amazing. The time on the bike is my form of meditation and inspiration for creativity. Have a great day! ~RG~ #meditation #cyclingNovember 4, 2014 at 2:16 pm

We all go through tough times in life but staying in the drama without taking action will keep you in the victim mentality. If someone is trying to help you and encourages you to push past your comfort zone to make change….take that first step. Gently letting go of relationships that don't serve you is sometimes necessary.

Sometimes we can become paralyzed in fear when dealing with day to day challenges. Try reframing your thoughts and keep taking action. You will create confidence with each step you take.
Make it a great weekend! ~RG~

Time ~ We all race to get the most out of our days. Work, family, kids, chores, errands, shopping etc….tugging at the second and minute hands of our daily clocks. How would it feel if you were to just slooooow it down a notch and take more time with the person or place in front of you. Be in the moment without rushing and cherish what you see…..for that moment will never be exactly the same…ever.
"Time In A Bottle"- Jim Croce
If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day till eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you
Have a amazing and enlightening day! ~RG~

Making and keeping promises to ourselves and others is important. What is a promise that you have not kept? Make a point to complete it today! ~RG~
Promises are like crying babies in a theater, they should be carried out at once.
